Touch panel theory

A touch panel is coated with a material, typically Indium Tin Oxide. Electrical signal of both horizontal and vertical axes is transmitted to the controller and the touched location is recognized. The electronic touch interface can be realized on a software.

Types of touch panel

Resistive, Cap sensor, Capacitive, SAW(Surface acoustic wave), InfraRed.
In a small device, Resistive type and Cap sensor type is used due to the reason of price and structure.
